A Hearth for the Human Family 2024
Join us for the annual Hearth conference that brings together scholars and practitioners from diverse fields providing a collaborative space for participants to actively contribute ideas, share practical examples, and exchange successful strategies to foster unity.
In a world marked by division and conflict, this year’s focus is peacebuilding. We will ask what being a peacemaker means in today’s society, reimagine how we can work for peace in a variety of settings, and hope together for a more peaceful future for our human family.
What to Expect
The conference will have three main components:
- Three keynote conversations will invite participants to reflect on the complexity of peacebuilding efforts in today’s world.
- A choice of workshops will engage participants in dialogue about how to be peacebuilders in different fields.
- Space in the program will be dedicated to conversation and exchange among participants.
The keynote sessions will address Artificial Intelligence, Ecology, and Conflict Resolution.
Participants will be able to choose from workshops on the following topics: AI, Business and Economics, Dialogue among Christians, Dialogue among Faith Traditions, Family Life and Parenting, International Conflict Resolution, Law, and Political Bridgebuilding.
We value young adult participation at the event so we have created a fellowship program called “30 Under 40”, offering up to 30 young adults under the age of 40 a stipend of $270 to help cover their transportation, accommodation, and registration costs.
Participants in this program must fully attend both days of the conference, attend a follow-up online gathering in November, and have spent a minimum of $230 on accommodation and travel.
Participants will receive the stipend two weeks after the event and, after the online gathering in November, participants will receive a certificate of participation that can be shared on Linked-In.
To participate in this program, please choose “30 Under 40” as your registration option.
